Beer Pizza Dough

For something a little different, try adding a little garlic and oregano to the bread machine dry ingredients. You can simply add any herbs and spices to suit your mood, the possibilities with this dough are endless!


Serves: 1 

  • 235ml flat beer
  • 30g butter
  • 30g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 310g bread flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons yeast

  1. Add beer, butter, sugar, salt, flour and yeast to the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select Dough setting, and press Start.
  2. Remove dough from bread machine when cycle is complete. Roll or press dough to cover a prepared pizza tin. Brush lightly with olive oil. Cover and let stand 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 200 degrees C.
  4. Bake pizza in the oven for 5 minutes, before adding toppings.
  5. Remove from the oven. Spread sauce and toppings on top of the lightly baked dough. Return to the oven until crust is lightly brown and crispy on the outside, about 24 minutes.
