Sultana Loaf with Golden Syrup
- 250ml milk
- 85g golden syrup
- 85g margarine
- 170g sultanas
- 280g self raising flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda
- 110g sugar
- 1 pinch salt, to taste
Preparation:10min › Cook:1hour15min › Ready in:1hour25min
- Melt together milk, syrup, margarine and sultanas. Mix with flour, bicarbonate of soda, sugar and salt.
- Place in a loaf tin. Bake for 1 1/4 hours at 150 degrees C.
- Leave 3-4 days before cutting. It can be wrapped in foil.
