This is a rich chocolate slice with biscuit crumbs and sultanas. Golden syrup plays a big factor in the taste and it is all topped off with chocolate.


Serves: 20 

  • 125g butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons golden syrup
  • 4 teaspoons cocoa
  • 250g plain biscuits, crushed
  • 45g of sultanas
  • 250g cooking chocolate, half milk and half dark

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter, sugar, syrup and cocoa.
  2. Add the biscuits and sultanas when melted. Stir to combine.
  3. Pour mixture into a shallow baking tray and press down. Melt the cooking chocolate and pour over the mixture in the tray.
  4. Place the tin into the fridge and leave for about 1 hour to set. To serve, cut into about 20 pieces.
