Chocolate and Banana Toasted Sandwich

    15 minutes

Stale bread turns into a delectable treat. Sounds so simple and wrong but it works; it is so right and yummy. Eat alone or with ice cream.

Something else. I used wholemeal bread and also skipped the butter. I used Nutella only b/c that's what I had in the cupboard - I'd try reg chocolate in the future, though. I just essentially made a banana and nutella sandwich, sprinkled with cinnamon, and then pan-fried it with a heavy saucepan placed on top (to mimic the panini press that I don't have!). Don't skip the cinnamon - it really makes this delicious, even though you can't really pinpoint the cinnamon flavour when you're devouring it !  -  30 Nov 2009  (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)

Absolutely delicious! We've all had banana and chocolate crepes; I think this may be better! I took a few shortcuts, but all in all this is a fab snack idea (or naughty breakfast?) and I'll definitely make again!  -  30 Nov 2009  (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)
