Savoury Chicken Flan

    This is a lovely flan in looks and tastes. I use a shop bought pie shell so it saves a lot of time. Guests will be wondering if you really made it or bought it from the shop.

    Serves: 4 

    • 23cm savoury shortcrust pie shell
    • 225g cooked chicken, diced
    • 50g bacon, cooked and diced
    • 150ml cream
    • 3 eggs
    • 50g cheddar, grated
    • 1 tablespoon diced chives
    • 1 pinch salt and pepper, to taste

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:40min 

    1. Put the pie shell on a baking tray. Place the chicken and bacon on the base of the shell.
    2. Mix together the cream, eggs, cheese, chives, salt and pepper. Pour into the flan case.
    3. Put in an oven preheated to 200 degrees C. Bake for 30 minutes or until the filling is firm and golden brown.
