Easy to make and better than the commercial ones. I use homemade breadcrumbs. Serve with watercress, dressing and a baked potato with butter.


Serves: 4 

  • 300g chicken mince or turkey mince
  • 60g fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 60g Parmesan, grated
  • 30g diced basil
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper, to taste
  • 100g dried breadcrumbs, for crumbing

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:40min 

  1. Thoroughly mix together the mince, breadcrumbs, onion, cheese, basil, salt and pepper.
  2. When mixed use one teaspoon to take a portion and roll into a ball.
  3. Roll the ball in dried breadcrumbs until completely covered then place onto an oven dish lined with baking paper.
  4. Bake in oven for approximately 20-30 minutes at about 140 degrees C.
