    This is a simple dessert that showcases deliciously juicy pears. Serve warm or cold with double cream or ice cream.

    Serves: 2 

    • 2 medium ripe pears, peeled, cored and halved
    • 4 teaspoons butter
    • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
    • 2 teaspoons demerara sugar
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 4 teaspoons orange marmalade

    1. Place pear halves cut side up in a shallow baking dish. Place butter in the centre of each and drizzle with lemon juice.
    2. Combine sugar and cinnamon then sprinkle over pears. Top with marmalade.
    3. Cover and bake at 180 degrees C for 15-20 minutes or until heated through.
