Easy Chicken and Rice

    This is an extremely easy and cost efficient chicken dish that will please the whole family. Serve with seasonal vegetables.

    Serves: 4 

    • 4 medium sized chicken thighs
    • 1 (420g) tin condensed cream of chicken soup
    • 1 packet French onion soup mix
    • 350g partly boiled long grain rice
    • 750ml water

    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:1hour15min  ›  Extra time:1hour20min  ›  Ready in:2hours40min 

    1. Spread the rice evenly over the bottom of a medium sized baking dish. Place the chicken portions on top of the rice.
    2. Mix together the condensed soup and water then pour over the rice and chicken.
    3. Sprinkle the dry contents of the onion soup mix over the entire dish. Cover with foil and bake for about 1 hour and 15 mins.

    Sounds good but no temperature? I used 200degrees celcius and it turened out great! Full of flavour and really filling, maybe adding a few vegetables would make it nicer and healthier but for quick and dead easy recipe this is great 5/5!  -  22 Aug 2013  (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)
