    Fry bread is a Native American recipe for flatbread. It's good with almost anything - you can serve it with curries or stews or even sprinkle it with icing sugar for a sweet treat.

    Serves: 6 

    • 140g self raising flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 175ml milk

    1. Make egg-sized balls of the dough, then roll out until fairly thin. Heat plenty of oil in a deep frypan and fry the breads until golden on both sides, one at a time. Drain on paper towels.
    2. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, mixing with your fingers. Add more flour if necessary until it is not sticky. Knead well on a floured surface.
