Guinness Chocolate Cake

    Guinness chocolate cake is a fantastic tasting cake. It is simple to prepare and will quickly become a favourite. Keep well stored in an airtight container.

    Serves: 12 

    • 250ml Guinness
    • 100g dark chocolate, melted
    • 260g butter
    • 400g caster sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 small (300ml) tub of yoghurt
    • 300g self raising flour

    1. Grease a 20cm round baking tin. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
    2. In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the Guinness, chocolate, butter and sugar together. Mix in the eggs and yoghurt. Add the flour, beat well.
    3. Pour into prepared baking tin and bake for 40-50 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Remove from tin.
