Condensed Milk Chocolate Fudge
There's a lot of chocolate in this fudge, also condensed milk and marshmallows to make it a real treat. Great for Christmas presents, birthday parties or for your next cake stall.
Ingredients
Serves: 10
- 900g white sugar
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- a good pinch of salt
- 1 (395g) tin sweetened condensed milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
- 340g dark chocolate chips
- 340g milk chocolate, chopped
- 425g mini marshmallows (or normal marshmallows, chopped)

- Grease a square baking tin and set aside.
- Combine sugar, butter, salt and condensed milk in a large saucepan over a medium heat. Allow to boil for 6 1/2 minutes, stirring constantly. Place vanilla essence, chocolate chips, chopped chocolate and the marshmallows into a large mixing bowl.
- Pour the hot mixture over the ingredients in the mixing bowl and beat until all the chocolate has melted.
- Pour into the already prepared baking tin and gently spread with a rubber spatula.
- Allow fudge to sit for 3 hours, probably best to put it into the fridge and then cut into squares. The bigger the better.
Add nuts
You can if you want add approximately 220g of chopped pecans with the other ingredients in the mixing bowl before you pour over the chocolate. But personally I prefer it without.

Not to sure how to rate this yet. I just want to query the amount of white sugar. Is that correct 900 grams. Thats a heap of sugar. Thanks Glenda - 09 Jul 2017
Just tried this fudge, it did not work. Followed the instructions exactly but it started thickening during the 6 1/2 minutes boiling then turned into a grainy thick mess when I tried to add it to the chocolate. It tells us to use condensed milk in the recipe then it says evaporated milk in the instructions ,there is a big difference between evaporated and condensed which one is correct - 22 Oct 2012 (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)
