The fresh taste of balsamic vinaigrette and feta cheese blend wonderfully with the fruit in this light salad. This uses two differnt pears but works fine with any pear.

    Serves: 4

    • 1/2 head iceberg lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces
    • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
    • 1 Bosc pear, cored and cut into bite-sized pieces
    • 1 nashi pear, cored and cut into bite-sized pieces
    • 1/2 cup balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing

    Preparation:15min  ›  Ready in:15min

    1. Place the lettuce into a salad bowl then sprinkle on the feta cheese in a layer.
    2. Top with a layer of nashi and nashi pears. Serve with balsamic vinaigrette on the side.

I thought this salad was great. I used Romane and a light Raspberry Vinaigrette. I also added a handful of toasted pinenuts. I could eat this every day. thanks for a great salad!!!  -  19 Feb 2010  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

This is one of our favorite salads. We use romaine and just d'anjou pears. Add your favorite style chicken and its a meal in itself.  -  29 Jun 2009  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

this salad was delicious. the pears and balsamic go together perfectly. i added some sliced almonds for a little extra flavor. some might find the balsamic vinegar a little overpowering so you may want to add a bit less than the recipe calls for, or put it on the side. i'll definitely make this salad again!  -  24 Sep 2009  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
