Garlic Mushroom Sauce

This recipe can be used as a sauce or as a side dish. The mushrooms act as a sponge sucking up all the butter and garlic flavour.


Serves: 2 

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 250g sliced white mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper, to taste

Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min 

  1. Melt the butter in frypan over medium heat then add the mushrooms. Cook and stir until the mushrooms have softened and released their liquid; about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in the garlic then continue to cook and stir for 1 minute.
  3. Pour in the soy sauce and cook the mushrooms in the soy sauce until the liquid has evaporated; about 4 minutes.
