Tiger prawns are butterflied, brushed with butter and parmesan cheese, then grilled. It's quick and easy and kids like the 'finger food' style.

    Serves: 6

    • 700g tiger prawns, peeled and deveined
    • 250g butter
    • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
    • 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
    • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:15min

    1. Preheat grill to a medium heat. With a sharp knife, butterfly the prawns from the underside. Arrange prawns on baking tray.
    2. In a small saucepan, melt butter with garlic and lemon juice. Pour 65ml of butter mixture in a small bowl, and brush onto prawns. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over prawns.
    3. Place baking tray under the grill for 4 to 5 minutes or until done. Serve with remaining butter mixture for dipping.

Made this (along with the spicy garlic prawns) and the wife just loved them. "Better than prawns from a restaurant", she said but maybe she is a bit biased. Nonetheless, some browny points for me - 21 May 2016
