    Topping French bread slices with a mixture of apple, goats cheese and herbs makes a delicious and quick appetizer.

    Serves: 8 

    • 1/4 cup crumbled goats cheese
    • 1 red apple - peeled, cored, and chopped
    • 3/4 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
    • 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano
    • 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
    • 8 thin slices French bread

    1. Preheat the grill to medium
    2. Toss together the goats cheese, apple, thyme, oregano and pepper in a bowl; set aside. Arrange the bread slices on a baking tray; toast the bread under the grill until golden brown, 1 to 2 minutes.
    3. Sprinkle the goats cheese mixture evenly over the bread slices. Return bread to oven to grill until cheese is softened, about 1 minute more.
