Super Easy Cheese Fondue

    This is a perfect recipe for a quick cheesy fondue for entertaining, or just something fun and different for your family. I make this with my Magic Bullet blender, but it can be done with any blender or stick blender.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1/2 Cup grated gruyere
    • 250 Grams Camembert cheese
    • 1/4 Cup grated colby cheese
    • 1 Teaspoon French mustard
    • 250ml thickened cream
    • 1 Punnet cherry tomatoes
    • 1 Packet oven baked dinner rolls
    • 2 carrots
    • 1 Bunch asparagus
    • 2 hot dog franks

    1. Pre-Heat your oven to 200º and roughly chop the dinner rolls. Place on an oven-proof tray and bake for 4 minutes.
    2. Chop the carrots into thick sticks, slice the hot dog franks and blanch with the asparagus for 4 minutes and strain. Half the cherry tomatoes. Place on a serving tray with the baked Dinner roll pieces.
    3. Remove rind from the Camembert cheese and add it to a large microwave safe bowl.
    4. Add the other cheeses,cream and mustard to the bowl and microwave for 1-2 minutes,or until all cheese has melted.
    5. Pour the cheese mixture into your blender, place the lid on and pulse until completely combined and Pour into a large serving bowl. **Or you can just use your stick blender in the same bowl you microwaved in**
    6. Serve cheese fondue and platter of veggies and bread with some forks. Dip the veggies and bread in and enjoy!


    This dish can be adapted to suit your tastes! You can use most vegies, and other meats. A great way to introduce more vegies to children. Also goes well with seafood, just replace half the cream with some white wine.
