Tasty Baked Potato Wedges

    Why buy potato wedges when they are so easy to make? This Herbie's Spices Blend is salty but has no bad additives in it.

    Makes: 18 potato wedges

    • 3 medium-sized potatoes, washed not peeled
    • spray-on olive oil
    • 1 tablespoon Herbie's Spices, Tasty Meat Sprinkle

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:25min  ›  Ready in:35min 

    1. Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees C. Lightly oil an oven tray and set aside.
    2. Place the Tasty Meat Sprinkle in a clean plastic bag and set aside.
    3. Cut each potato in half, then cut each half into three wedges like orange segments.
    4. Place wedges in the bag with the sprinkle. Twist the top of the bag and hold it tightly so it won't spill, then shake the bag to coat the potato pieces with the spices.
    5. Arrange the wedges on the oven tray, spray lightly with oil, and put them into the oven. After ten minutes, take the tray out of the oven and turn each wedge over. Spray again with oil.
    6. Return to the oven for another ten or fifteen minutes, until they are cooked. (The exact time will vary depending on the size of your wedges.)
    7. Serve them as a snack, or as part of a meal.

    Cooking tips

    Make sure the potato is thoroughly cooked - a little overcooked is better than a wedge that is still hard in the middle. Cooking times can vary depending on your oven, so use your own discretion.

    These were delicious, and very easy to make. Took a little longer to make than shown in the recipe but maybe I had bigger potatoes. Because I live in the U.S. I did not have access to the seasoning specified but I used Lawrys Seasoning Salt which I would imagine is similar. Everyone loved these.
