BBQ Ridgy-Didge Rissoles

This is the only rissole recipe you need - it's the best! These are barbecued - so you can also call them burgers. If you can't get pork mince just use all beef.

Herbie's Spices New South Wales, Australia

Makes: 8 rissoles

  • 300g lean beef mince
  • 200g pork mince (if you can't get pork mince, use 500g beef mince)
  • 1 small onion, grated or finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Herbie's Spices Tasty Meat Sprinkle
  • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:25min

  1. Mush all the ingredients up together in a big bowl with your hands.
  2. Make balls of the mixture and flatten between the palms of your hands so that they end up about 8-10cm in diameter and about 2cm thick. If your hands get too sticky, wet them before making more rissoles.
  3. Place the rissoles on a plate.
  4. Heat your barbecue and when it's good and hot, spray it with oil and put the rissoles on. They will need about 4-5 minutes each side, depending on how hot your barbie is.

Tasty Meat Sprinkle

This is a seasoning mix containing sweet paprika, garlic, sugar, black pepper, ginger, cinnamon bark and sea salt.
