BBQ Pepper T-bone Steaks

    Excellent steak doesn't need much embellishment. These are simply barbecued with some pepper steak seasoning and served immediately with a cube of butter.

    Serves: 4 

    • 100g butter chilled
    • 2 tablespoons Herbie's Spices Pepper Steak Seasoning
    • 4 T-bone steaks

    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:7min  ›  Ready in:12min 

    1. Cut butter into 4 cubes and keep chilled.
    2. Sprinkle the pepper steak seasoning over both sides of the steaks, pressing it in a bit with your fingers.
    3. Cook on a hot BBQ till cooked till your liking, turning once after about 3 minutes.
    4. When the steaks come off the barby, place a cube of butter on each hot steak when you serve it.

    Additional Tips

    We like to serve these steaks with broad beans, but we always double-peel the beans. If you don't want to double-peel them, don't bother serving them.

    There's nothing like a good, grilled T-bone steak - especially when it's seasoned and topped with melted butter! Since I don't have Herbie's steak seasoning, I used Montreal steak seasoning. I let the steaks rest and come to room temperature before grilling. Delicious served with grilled potatoes - YUM!  -  09 May 2013
