Put rabbit or chicken into a dish with oil and berries and marinate 3-4 hours.
Heat oven to 180 degrees C. Remove joints from marinade.
Lay the bacon rashers singly and place a piece of rabbit or chicken on each one, sprinkle with thyme, garlic and freshly-ground black pepper, and wrap bacon around.
Pour the tomatoes into an ovenproof dish, place the parcels in a single layer and pour the marinade over.
Roast in the oven for 45-60 minutes, basting once or twice. Cooking time will depend on your oven.
