In a bowl, mix together the butter, garlic and spice mixture thoroughly.
Slice the bread sticks diagonally - cut right through with each slice.
Line a baking dish with alfoil, leaving enough overlapping to fold across over the top.
Spread each slice generously with the spiced butter and pack into the pan, re-assembling the loaves as you go.
Fold the flaps of foil loosely over the top once all the bread has been done. The idea is to allow the oven heat inside the foil so that the top crust is crunchy while the bread inside is moist and warm.
Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200 degrees C for 15 minutes and serve immediately.
Cutting the bread stick
Make sure you cut right through the loaf for each piece, as nothing is more difficult than trying to take a slice of bread that is still attached to its neighbour by its bottom crust.
