    Stun your guests with these! It is unusual to see garam masala used as a seasoning in its own right, and you will be amazed at how well it works with these prawns.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • 1 tablespoon Herbie's Spices Garam Masala
    • 1/4 teaspoon Herbie's Spices Medium Chilli Powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon Herbie's Spices Tamarind Extract or lemon juice
    • 24 Herbie's Spices Curry Leaves
    • 100ml mustard oil
    • 1 onion, finely chopped
    • 48 green prawns, shelled and deveined
    • basmati rice, to serve

    Directions
    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Extra time:1hour marinating  ›  Ready in:1hour20min 

    1. Place all ingredients except prawns into a blender and puree on high speed.
    2. Add puree to prawns. Mix well to coat all the prawns and marinate in refrigerator 1 hour.
    3. Cook in hot wok or pan for 3-5 minutes until prawns become opaque.
    4. Serve with steamed rice.

    Additional Tips

    You will love the unique flavour of curry leaves, used to great effect in this recipe. A bowl of these tasty prawns makes a great party finger food - just remember to have napkins ready for sticky fingers.
