These are very gooey, which I think is a good thing. However, if you want them firmer you'll need to cook them longer than the recommended time. Great for people with egg or dairy allergies too!
Really fantastic! I adapted this recipe slightly by replacing the water with the same quantity of freshly squeezed orange juice and also grated the rind of an orange in too....resulting in chocolate orange slices! These are really yummy, incredibly easy and will be made again and again. I think I'll try some nuts next time, or perhaps some minty ones - 05 Oct 2011
Yum! This is so easy to make, and its a recipe that non-veganers alike love, my housemates couldn't get enough. I swapped the vege oil for coconut oil, this gives a not too intense coconut flavour which loves to be paired with chocolate, and also its melting point is much higher, being a solid at room temp on an average day, making it a bit less gooey. I also chucked in about 1/2 C of chopped pecans and the same again of vegan choc chips... mmmmm - 17 Jun 2011
This slice is absolutely DIVINE!! You only need a tiny piece with your coffee to satisfy your sweet fix, so really, it's not that fattening. I'm expecting sixteen friends over after dinner tonight, and this recipe will go a long way. I will cut it up and sprinkle with icing sugar. I do a lot of cooking, and this recipe would have to be the easiest I've ever made. - 12 Jul 2012
