This is my mother's old crumpet recipe. Making crumpets is easy, cheap and a fun activity on a winter's day. Fresh out of the pan, they don't even need to be toasted, eat them with lashings of butter and your favourite jam or savoury topping- they are so much better than store bought.

I thought this recipe was really good, mine crumpets turned out amazing!!! I actually left mine to rise for 2 hours and they made them really fluffy! hx

Yummy crumpets!^^ I followed the recipe but when putting them to cook, it was too much so I had to cut them in half for a better result

Altered ingredient amounts. swap the yeast and sugar measurements, I think 2tbs of sugar and tsp of yeast.
