Strawberry Pie with Orange Liqueur

The highlight of this pie is the orange liqueur glaze making a yummy fresh strawberry tart. Serve with sweetened whipped cream.

with fresh plant city strawberry season right around the corner i tried this and not only was it easy it was really beautiful. my guest didnt have a clue...

I was pleasantly surprised by this pie. It turned out very well, much better than expected. I might add a little more cornstartch next time because it was a little runny but had a great flavor! I will be making this again.

This recipe turned out great. The orange liquer sets the pie apart from other strawberry pie recipes. Helpful hint: to keep the pie crust from getting soggy, spread a thin coat of strawberry cream cheese on the bottom and sides of the crust before adding the strawberries and filling. The cream cheese will protect the pie crust from added moisture.

Absolutely wonderful! I didn't have orange liqueur so I used orange juice instead of water and then added rum instead of orange liqueur. Just like a strawberry dacquari in pie form. This will be made again and again. Such a nice change from those pies that use gelatin for the glaze.

very nice!. Whipped cream required (the real stuff, not the fake stuff in the freezer). I enjoyed it so much that later I reduced the amounts and substituted raspberries to make a filling for the Italian Wedding cake recipe on this site. It was fabulous!

it was great! made it yesterday for my parents wedding (today) and since i made the pastry and had extra mini tarts to try which were delicious lets just hope everything goes to plan! also i didn't use the liqueur (being 12!) but made a sugar syrup instead.

I made this pie and did use the Grand Marnier....It was a little too much for me, I thought it took over the tatste of the pie.
