Chocolate Prune Brownies

    40 minutes

This recipe is an attempt to make low fat brownies using pureed prunes for moisture and colour. They are gooey and indulgent like regular brownies.

No I do not agree, they are not gooey and indulgent. They are hard and stodgey. The kids didn't even like them!  -  29 Sep 2010

Altered ingredient amounts. I used apple sauce in place of the prunes and doubled the recipe. The result was a moist, chewy and slightly cakey brownie! I absolutely loved it and will certainly make it again and again!  -  21 Jul 2008

Used different ingredients. These were really good. I am a chocoholic with an unforgiving scale. This is a great way to satisfy chocolate cravings. I ate half of the tin the night I made these. The only thing I did differently was I used 4 egg whites to cut down on fat and cholesterol. My boyfriend and I loved them!  -  21 Jul 2008
