Tip four tablespoons of flour, four tablespoons of sugar and two tablespoons of cocoa into your mug and mix them all together. Crack an egg into the mix but make sure you take out any shell. Measure three tablespoons of milk and three tablespoons of oil and add it in.
Mix everything really well but make sure you keep all the ingredients inside the mug! Next add a tablespoon of chocolate drops and three drops of my secret ingredient…vanilla essence. Again mix well.
For this next bit you’ll need a grown-up because it’s time to cook! The grownup will need to cook your mug for three minutes on high in the microwave. You can watch the cake rise before your eyes. When it has stopped rising get an adult to take it out of the microwave: it will be hot so be careful. Wait for your mug to cool down and then run a plastic knife around the outside edge to make sure you can get them out of the mug.
Tasty cake, we eliminated cocoa, choc chips and oil and used carob syrup instead, however using self raising flour in it was far too much for just one mug making enough for two mugs worth. Texture of the cake was just wonderful!

Great flavor, but mine came out a bit tough. I assume the microwave times will vary. I thought it was going to overflow it rose so high in the microwave but it did finally settle down and didn't boil over. I'd have to play with the microwave times but a good starter recipe.
