Gorgonzola Stuffed Mushrooms with Barbecued Onions
- 500g fresh mushrooms, stems removed
- 250g Gorgonzola
- 3 medium onions, sliced into rings
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
Preparation:20min › Cook:5min › Ready in:25min
- Preheat barbecue for high heat, and lightly oil cooking grate. Fill mushroom caps with crumbled blue cheese.
- Place onion slices and mushrooms, cheese side up, onto the prepared grate. Turn onions over frequently until tender. Do not turn mushrooms over. Cook until blue cheese has melted, and mushrooms are tender. Remove mushrooms to a serving plate, and top with grilled onions.
The combinaton was very good. However I was not sure what to do with the grilled onion slices. IE; on top whole, set mushroom on top of slice, chop onions and put on top?? The tase combo was great, I just wasn't sure about the presentation. - 29 Sep 2008
