    My own variation of a old Woman's Weekly recipe.

    Serves: 18 

    • 250g butter
    • 1¼ cups brown sugar
    • ½ cup golden syrup
    • 5½ cups rolled oats
    • 1½ cup strawberries
    • 1 cup chopped macadamias

    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:25min  ›  Ready in:40min 

    1. Preheat the oven to moderate, 180 degrees C. Line a shallow lamington tin with baking paper.
    2. In a med saucepan melt the butter with the sugar and the golden syrup, then stir in the rolled oats and partly mix, then place the strawberries and the macadiamas in the bowl and complete mixing, turn into the prepared tin and smooth the top with a spatula.
    3. Bake in a pre heated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in tin for 2 minutes, then cut into fingers. Cool completely before removing from the tin.
