Heaps of Halloween fun. Really easy to make and ideal if you want to get the kids involved in making the Halloween party treats.
2 people made this
1/2 tablespoon butter or margarine
110g white marshmallows
90g Rice Bubbles
50g desiccated coconut
dried currants for eyes and mouth
Directions Preparation:15min › Ready in:15min
Melt butter or margarine in a large saucepan over a low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Add cereal and stir until well coated.
While mixture is still warm, shape with wet or greased hands into any shape.
To make flat ghost shapes, flatten mixture onto a greased lamington or slice tray, lined with greaseproof paper, using a greased spatula. The quantity will fill half the tray. Depending on required size, cut mixture into squares or rectangles which can then be bent into required shapes. To make 3D ghosts, cone shapes can be made by cutting out triangles and folding round.
When shaped, roll in coconut or press it on the surface.
Attach the currants for eyes or use any decoration – by using a little melted chocolate or prepared icing.
If cut, most dried fruit will stick without needing to do this. Leave in the fridge till needed.
