Best Bacon and Egg Pie

Very Inexpensive, tasty, and easy to make. Note Diced Bacon can be bought from most Deli sections of the Supermarket. If necessary, roll pastry for a better fit. To make egg wash. add water to egg yolk and pinch of salt, whisk, brush top of pie for a golden finish.

Real men eat bacon & egg pie Not keash?????. Your recipe is close enough for people that can not afford a kilo of bacon. I will give you 4 stars. All the other recipes are keash????? (if that is how it's spell it) The one thing you don't do is (because you are young - and I Use my great Gran's recipe,) You do NOT BREAK THE EGGS and stir them. You use the back of a dessert spoon to make hollows in the top of the minced bacon and break the whole eggs into the hollows. Then cover with pastry. You do not need to have pastry at the bottom of this pie. It sets fine. Just make sure you remove the rind but not the fat before mincing the bacon. This will set Remember REAL MEN EAT BACON & EGG PIE!!!!!! Sorry to sound a bit snappy but I have been making real B&E pie's for 60yrs.

Best egg and bacon pie ive ever tasted!! Think my husband loves me more! Have made two this week! will be making lots more! Thanks for sharing
