Choc-flavoured rum balls

    Rich chocolaty rum flavoured balls. These are rolled in chocolate sprinkles but you can also dip in melted choc, and/or roll in coconut or dust icing sugar over the top.

    Serves: 24 

    • 1 cup semi-sweet (dark) Choc Chips
    • ½ cup caster sugar
    • 3 T.S maple syrup or golden syrup or corn syrup
    • ½ cup rum
    • 2 ½ cups crushed vanilla wafers or Arrowroot biscuits
    • 1 cup chopped walnuts
    • 2 T.S cocoa
    • 2 T.S vanilla

    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:10min 

    1. Melt choc chips over low heat and stir in sugar and syrup.
    2. Blend in the rum add chopped nuts, mix well allow to cool a little. Then add wafers or crushed biscuit mix well with wooden spoon.
    3. Cool in fridge until hard enough to roll mixture into balls
    4. Roll small balls sprinkle with choc sprinkles for decoration.

    I originally found this recipe on your website but is no longer there, However I did make this and although taking longer than the specified time, I found this very nice and will make more,  -  14 Jan 2017  (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)
