An easy party dip, best made a few hours ahead so the flavours have time to meld. If you can't find black beans, refried beans work just as well.

    Serves: 8

    • 1 (400g) tin black beans
    • 8 tablespoons light mayonnaise
    • 8 tablespoons reduced fat sour cream
    • 1 green chilli, minced
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander
    • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 1 tablespoon salt

    Preparation:40min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:50min

    1. In a mixing bowl, mash the beans with a fork. Combine with remaining ingredients and blend well. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Serve with corn chips.

Used different ingredients. This recipe is pretty good. I added lime juice and onions to add some extra fresh flavours. - 29 Sep 2008

Altered ingredient amounts. We loved the flavours in this dip! The only thing we deviated from on the recipe was the salt, we only used 1/2 of what it called for. Very easy to make too, always a plus at this house. Great dip! - 29 Sep 2008

Really great dip - I would suggestt cutting the amount of salt in half though. - 29 Sep 2008
