Mars Bar Slice
This delicious recipe is a guilty pleasure of mine. Enjoy the chewy crunchy caramel base with a rich chocolate ganache over the top that melts in your mouth. You can also do all the melting/heating in the microwave, but it's never quite as good!
Ingredients

- 100g butter, chopped
- 300g Mars Bars, chopped
- 4 cups (140g) Rice Bubbles
- 1/3 cup (80ml) pouring cream
- 250g dark chocolate, chopped

- Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
- Add the Mars Bars to the melted butter and continue to stir until completely melted (mixture will come together to become a sticky caramel texture when ready).
- Place the Rice Bubbles in a large bowl. Stir in the Mars Bar mixture and mix until combined.
- Line a 20cm x 30cm lamington pan (or casserole dish) with baking paper. Press Mars Bar mixture evenly into pan (while mixture is still warm).
- Heat the cream in a saucepan over medium heat until just beginning to simmer. Add the chocolate and continue to stir over low heat until melted. Remove from heat. Stand for 5-10 minutes to allow to thicken then whisk ganache until smooth and thickened slightly.
- Spread ganache evenly over slice. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until set. Serve cut into squares

Delightful! I also 'tweaked' things by swapping the topping and added 500g of chocolate orange pieces broken up into small pieces, sprinkled them over and pressed them into the Rice Krispie mixture... mmmmmm xxxx - 17 Jun 2013 (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)
