    The way they make it in Quebec...with brown sugar, cream and pecans. Best served warm with vanilla ice cream!

    Serves: 10 

    • 2 cups (315g) brown sugar
    • 1¼ cups (155g) plain flour
    • ½ cup (125ml) thickened cream
    • 1 egg
    • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    • ¾ cup (90g) chopped pecans
    • 1 (23cm) unbaked tart shell

    Preparation:20min  ›  Cook:40min  ›  Ready in:1hour 

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. In a medium bowl, mix together brown sugar and flour; set aside.
    2. In a large bowl, whisk together the cream, egg, golden syrup and vanilla. Stir in brown sugar mixture until blended. Fold in the pecans.
    3. Pour filling into the tart shell. Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
