Missing the food of my birth country and trying to recreate the recipes here but I love to cook new and untried things as well. Rarely do I stick to a recipe precisely, there's always a tweak lurking in most recipes.

Favourite things to cook
Bohemian roast pork, dumplings and cabbage or sauerkraut. Besides that anything that is completely made from scratch and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
Smoked meats are my favourite.

Cooking triumphs
Every meal cooked well is a triumph on it's own. It's hard to single out a few but my smoked trout tortellini is rated high by my friends.

A fish and chips lunch... As me about it, it's too painful to put out there without shame..:-)
